I've also learned this rather late.

But only because of the need to help others or the desire to be concerned about the group instead of the self, which many of us have fallen into learning with no true fault of our own.

But like you mentioned it's never too late to learn lessons you felt like you needed to know.

Everything happens when it's meant to happen, so in the same regard everything is realized when it's meant to realize.
